June 15 - June 27, 2020
PROGRAM A
Prerequisite Completion of Level One Certification
Students refine skills in all areas. Candidates pursuing the Level Two Certification are expected to complete the teaching practicum, as well as qualifying examinations in Eurhythmics, Plastique, Solfège and Piano Improvisation.
Candidates teach three twenty-minute periods of which two lessons will receive a pass. Detailed preparation precedes, and constructive critical analysis follows each experience which provides an opportunity for on-the-spot feedback and direction. No video recordings are accepted in place of the live examinations but may be submitted as supporting material.
All candidates are required to practice solfège and improvisation daily under the supervision of a faculty member, and to complete the daily assignments in all branches of study.
Formal theme papers and written lesson plans are not required to complete the qualification but may be submitted as supporting material.
